Problem Solved: activesync 4.1 error 85010014 with desktop
My problem was with the desktop. but appararently it would be about the same
for the server.
It seems that this guy http://www.sb.com.au/jasjar/activesync_4_0.html had
solved this problem. I tried it myself and it worked for me ! - thank you
sir !!!!

The bottom line is reinstalling Outlook 2003, but with this procedure you
don't even need the CD (which in my case was in the office) !!! - (I was
afraid at first.., removing outlook 2003 ?????, no WAY !!!!, but. it
worked eventually with no effort !)

1. run Control Panel -> Add or remove Programs -> Office 2003
2. chose to "modify" by adding or removing components.
3. uncheck Outlook and update it to remove Outlook from the Office 2003
suite (YES .. YES ..)
4. The ..
5. return to this option and re-check Outlook to add it back to the Office
2003 Suite (it did not ask for the Office 2003 Install CD-Rom in our case)
6. Reboot and connect Activesync again..
7. you are up and running !!!!

Good luck !!!!

JD

Re: Problem Solved: activesync 4.1 error 85010014 with desktop
Thanks for sharing this workaround and thanks to the guy who managed it!

Reinstalling Outlook was a no-go for me, but with this solution all Outlook
data remained safe and I can sync now without getting error 85010014.

Users are building up websites describing workarounds for standard
software - something MS should have done some weeks before.

Greetings,
Heinz R. Vahlbruch

Big Thumbs Up!!!

This worked for me.
No data lost or changed in Outlook after the "re-install".
Activesync 5.1 to my axim x51v on WM5 then worked.

Ten that are loud will always be heard over the opposing thousand that are s

If email to me is being bounced for some reason, try putting "donotfilter" s
omewhere in the subject line.

I thank you for this solution, my PPC is not syncing with Windows PC. It wor
ks!

However the problem to syncronise with Exchange Server still remains.
Any help, where is Microsoft? No one official is helping us.
