Author Airpanel Very, Very Dim Display Problem

Greetings,

I have an Airpanel V110 that has recently developed a screen problem.
After I use the device for awhile (anywhere from a few seconds to a
couple of minutes) the screen will go so dim that it looks like the
device has turned off or gone into standby (the power button remains
lit). If I view the device at the right angle I can still see the
screen and it responds to the stylus. This can happen while connected
to a computer and within the Airpanel login screen before I connect to a
computer. Turning it off and then on or pushing the reset button at the
top will restore the screen but this of course is not desirable. I've
left the battery out overnight hoping that would reset something.
Adjusting the screen brightness has no effect either.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Greg

It sounds like the backlight itself is flaky, though it's odd that resetting
the display would fix it. I suggest calling ViewSonic tech support.

I have had this happen on a V150P, exactly as described, dim, but still
there. I reset the panel and it has been fine since...

Please let us know what (if anything) you find out.
