hi
i have a ipaq 1910 and i am interested in trying to get some kind of gps
programme and attachment so i can use it in my car i live in australia so
the programme would have to be suitable for sydney streets

can anybody tell me how to do this

I would suggest Pharos's Pocket GPS Navigator at http://www.pharosgps.com/
Inquire about the Ostia 2002 navigation software as well

with one possible problem the OP states he has an Ipaq 1910 wich does not
support comapct flash or wired serial connections and has no built in
bluetooth.

also the 1910 would require it sd card slot foradditional memory to hold
maps.

so the only solution for GPS withthis pocket pc is via for the gps to be
able to comunicate via IR

there was a good website wich had diagrams for a serial to IR converter but
would require tech skills to assemble.

here is the website that details gps options and limitations wit regard to
the ipaq 1910 specificaly.

I made two RS-232 - Irda convertors, based on the information on this
site. Works like a charm. Second time , i even fitted the convertor
inside the TomTom iPaq carholder, which meant small size manufacturing
was in order.
